Wear your kids out at the River Dart Country Park (under 2 miles away). The River Dart Country Park has a huge outdoor adventure playground that includes a Pirate Ship, Obstacle Course, Low Ropes Course, Mini Zip Wire, Snake Slides, Dam Pool, Toddlers Beach, Wooden Fort and many more. All are included in your day ticket.
Additional activities not included in the day ticket price are an Indoor Climbing Wall, Canoeing, Zip Wire, Water Zorbs & High Ropes. Day activities include Caving, Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting, Moorland Expeditions & Mountain Biking.

Railway Experiences!
The South Devon Railway, (under 3 miles away) is a seven mile former Great Western Railway branch line, built in 1872, which runs along the stunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. Steam trains with heritage rolling stock run and offer a wonderful all day, all weather attraction for families and people of all ages.

Animal Adventures!
At Otters and Butterflies (under 3 miles away) you can enjoy and learn about tropical butterflies in the specially designed habitat of which you become part. You not only see the butterflies but feel the rainforest atmosphere that they enjoy as you see their amazing life cycle unfold.
In the Otter Sanctuary there are three species of otter to see, the native British otter, the playful Asian short clawed otters and the large North American river otters who love to show off. A keeper is on hand to explain all about the otters to visitors, some are here for breeding, some for retirement, some just for fun and some because they are unsuitable to be returned to the wild. It’s an experience for everyone!

Enjoy a full day of animal adventures action at Pennywell Farm (under 5 miles away) with up to 20 hands on activities, shows and displays every day, all included in the admission price. There’s something new every half hour – listen for the bell.
There are alpacas, rabbits, shire horses, miniature ponies, lambs, goats, guinea pigs and more and Pennywell Farm is also the home to the world famous Pennywell Miniature Pigs. Enjoy piggy cuddles all day every day and watch the pig racing every afternoon at 2.30pm.
There are plenty of rides for all the family, included in the admission price. The Red Rocket ride launches from the Farmyard daily and there is also the Rainbow Railway, Tractor and Trailer ride and for children over 8 and adults there are the Run Rabbit Ride Go Carts.

Visual Experiences!
The Barn Cinema provides experiences for all the family and is under 8 miles away from us. It is an independent cinema situated in a renovated 14th century barn, within the grounds of the beautiful Dartington Hall estate near Totnes. The Barn runs a wide-ranging film programme, including independent arthouse, world and mainstream cinema, seven days a week.
